White Eagle Philosophy
Every man, woman and child on earth has in their heart a light to guide them. White Eagle calls this the Christ spirit, the spirit of divine love. The word 'Christ' is meant universally, and should not be linked with a particular religion. Because the light is deeply implanted, it is not always easy to recognize it in other people, or realize it is there in ourselves. The purpose of the Lodge teaching is to help humanity develop its true nature, which is this inner light, so that the light radiates throughout the whole being and out into the world to bless, heal and comfort others.
White Eagle is the name by which we know a very wise and loving teacher in the world of spirit. He brought about the formation of the Lodge in 1936 through his earthly instrument Grace Cooke, and since her death (1979) and that of her husband Ivan (1981) White Eagle's inspiration - and theirs - has continued to guide the work of the Lodge.
The name "White Eagle" is not attached only to an individual, but stands for a true vision through the mists of earth into a larger and more perfect life. You will also know that the white eagle is a symbol of St. John, the beloved disciple of Jesus, who was caught up in the power of the spirit and saw a new heaven and a new earth revealed. He saw that God had bestowed on humankind great gifts, not the least of which is the gift of vision.
The White Eagle Lodge Teaches:
- That God, the Eternal Spirit, is both Father and Mother.
- That the Son - the Cosmic Christ - is also the light which shines in the human heart. By reason of this divine sonship, all are brothers and sisters in spirit, a brotherhood which embraces all life visible and invisible, including the angelic kingdom.
- The expression of these principles in daily life through service.
- The awareness of the invisible world, which bridges separation and death and reveals the eternal unity of life.
- That life is governed by five cosmic laws: Reincarnation, Cause and Effect, Opportunity, Correspondences, and Compensation (Equilibrium and Balance).
- The ultimate goal of humankind is that the inner light should become so strong and radiant that even the cells of the physical body are transmuted into finer substances which can overcome mortality. This is known as the Christing of Man, or in the words of the Ancient Brotherhood, the blooming of the Rose upon the Cross of matter.
From White Eagle's words of dedication for the Lodge: We have chosen to call this center the White Eagle Lodge - a name not bearing reference to any particular person but referring to the white eagle as a symbol of vision, used down the ages by the Wise Ones whom we are privileged to serve.
If you feel drawn to the simple philosophy of the White Eagle Lodge,
Membership
offers an opportunity to become part of the spiritual family, along with practical benefits and privileges.
Our Center is staffed by dedicated volunteer and minimally salaried people. Our staff handle an enormous volume of correspondence, telephone calls and coordinate the patient's prayer requests with our absent and lone healers. Literally thousands of lives have been touched over the past decades in person, by telephone and through correspondence. A Healing Ministry to approximately 700 human and 60 animal patients is being administered, in addition to many requests for special prayers for individuals during our daily noon healing service.. Our beautiful Center located on seventy six acres of sacred land, also serves as a wildlife sanctuary.
Weekly services of worship, with contact healing ministries, are held in our Temple at the Center. Sacraments of communion, baptism, marriages and memorial services are available. Retreats and workshops accommodated in our newly built Retreat House dedicated to the memory of our Founders, Grace and Ivan Cooke, offer spiritual sustenance and inspiration. Newsletters are mailed quarterly to all those on our mailing lists. News flashes of the work at the Center are sent monthly to those who provide an e-mail address (to be found under the 'newsletter' button to the left). We are developing this website to make White Eagle's teachings available to your home and to provide you support and encouragement.
